Abstract

In the paper there is thrown light upon the problems of adaptive selection of winter bread wheat varieties. The climatic conditions of the north – eastern Forest – Steppe of Ukraine need the development of the varieties, which are resistant to the rather severe conditions during winter period and spring – summer vegetation. In the plant Production Institute nd. a. V. Ya. Yuryev there is developed a series of cultivars of semi – intensive, intensive, and universal types which possess high ability to hardening and combine improved winter – hardiness and higher yielding ability
