Abstract

The efficiency of the development of spring barley awnless lines with a complex of valuable traits by using collection specimens at hybridization with “awnlessness” character from the National Centre for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine is shown. As a result of variety trials at the laboratory for barley breeding and genetics in the Plant Production Institute nd. a. V. Ya. Yuryev of NAAS the awnless lines are developed – these are: high-yielding high-protein 06-2150, high-yielding low-protein 05-1474, high-yielding with group re-sistance to the affection caused by smut-diseases agent and high grain protein content – lines 05-393 and 05-889.
