Селекція пшениці озимої на якість зерна в Лісостепу України

Abstract

Results of winter wheat breeding for grain quality at the V.M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat for last 15 years are analyzed. Success in devel-oping new winter wheat varieties that combine high grain quality with produc-tivity and other traits is possible only when a targeted search for new genetic factors of quality, continuous and systematic evaluation of initial material and control of the trait during all stages of selection. The history of developing varieties with 1AL/1RS wheat-rye translocation is shown. Modification of GDI-method when using a sample of gluten less than 4 grams is proposed
