Abstract

In 2007–2009 ys in the system of complete diallelic crosses some special features in 20 forms of spring barley as to the level and ratio of general and constants of specific combining ability in F₁ are determined. An unequal level of GCA and constants of SCA as for separate quantitative characters of the studied forms is shown. The forms with high, medium and low levels of the GCA effects and constants of SCA are found. It is defined that hybridic combinations between the forms with a high GCA for definite characters are perspective for breeding since in the following generations in such combinations of crosses, in particular, a recombination of the characters by the level of their manifestation is possible
