Amendments and addititons to Published Articles

Once an article is published (its final version, the Version of Record, is released), no alterations or direct changes shall be made to the original text or the PDF file of the manuscript to preserve the integrity and stability of the scientific record.

  • Corrections (Corrections / Errata): If, following publication, authors or readers detect unintentional technical errors or minor inaccuracies (e.g., typographical errors, author misspellings, or incorrect figure captions) that do not alter the scientific validity of the conclusions, the Editorial Office shall publish a separate, formal notification (Correction or Erratum). This notice is assigned its own Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and is bi-directionally hyperlinked to the original article on the website.
  • Additions (Addenda): If authors intend to provide significant additional material that directly expands upon, details, or substantially clarifies the findings of an already published article, such material may be prepared as an Addendum. The Addendum undergoes mandatory peer review and, if approved, is published as a supplementary document with cross-references to the original article. New comprehensive research works must be submitted and processed on general grounds as independent, new manuscripts.
