Abstract

For determination of inheritance of maize resistance to the loose smut (Sorosporium reilianum (Kuehn)) in the conditions of 30-years-old monocul- ture in 2009-2011 collection and bred accessions were studied, with the pur- pose to select a sources and donors of the resistance. Hybridological analysis of F1 and F2 from the crosses of lines contrast on resistance with susceptible testers was carried out. 10 donors of resistance to loose smut were selected among those sources of resistance: UHkL 325, UHkK 364 and ZU 111/2. These original materials are recommended for use in the breeding for re- sistance to loose smut
