Self-archiving Policy
The Editorial Board of the research collection “Plant Breeding and Seed Production” (Selektsiia i nasinnytstvo) supports the Open Science movement and encourages authors to disseminate the results of their research through self-archiving. The publisher permits authors to retain, deposit, and distribute various versions of their materials in institutional repositories (specifically, in the electronic repository of the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of the NAAS), non-commercial thematic archives, on personal websites, or within scientific social networks (ResearchGate, Academia.edu) under the following conditions:
1. Preprint (Author's Original Manuscript — AOM)
· Status: The initial version of the manuscript prior to peer review, editing, and editorial processing.
· Conditions: Authors retain the right to freely make the preprint available in open access at any time. However, upon acceptance of the article for publication, authors are recommended to add the following note to the preprint page: “This material has been accepted for publication in the research collection 'Plant Breeding and Seed Production'”.
2. Accepted Manuscript (Postprint / Author’s Accepted Manuscript — AAM)
· Status: The version of the article that has undergone full peer review, incorporates all revisions, and has been officially approved by the Editorial Board for publication, but has not yet undergone final editorial layout, typesetting, and proofreading.
· Conditions: The publisher permits authors to deposit this version in an institutional repository or specialized agricultural databases (e.g., AGROVOC, FAO-AGRIS, etc.) immediately upon approval by the Editorial Board, without an embargo period (forced delay of access). The deposited copy must be fully open without any restrictions.
3. Published Version (Version of Record — VoR)
· Status: The final publisher's PDF file of the article featuring the official layout of the research collection, page numbers, logos, and bibliographic metadata.
· Conditions: Authors have the right to freely distribute and deposit the final published version (VoR) immediately upon its publication on the official website of the research collection.
Mandatory Requirements for Self-Archiving:
· Reference to the Original Source: When depositing any of the aforementioned versions (especially AAM and VoR), the author is obliged to provide a full bibliographic description of the work and include a direct hyperlink to the original publication on the official website of the research collection “Plant Breeding and Seed Production”.
· Indication of the Digital Identifier: It is mandatory to include the article's unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) in the form of an active link (for example: [https://doi.org/10.30835/](https://doi.org/10.30835/)...), which guarantees the correct calculation of citations and preserves the integrity of the scientific data.
