Collection fund of nectarines selection of Nikitsky botanical garden

Abstract

The article reveals the trends and results of studies on the formation of nectarine collection. Pomologies, morphological and economically valuable characteristics of nectarine varieties and forms in the conditions of South Coast of the Crimea have been studied. Nectarine gene fund of Nikitsky Botanical Garden consists of 156 varieties and selection forms obtained by breeding in Nikitsky Botanical Garden or introduced from different countries near and far abroad. In breeding of nectarine used wild endemic species of the genus Persica Mill. - P. davidiana (Carr.) Franch., P. mira Koehne, individual taxa peach cultural - P. persica atropurpurea Schneid., P. persica alba Schneid., P. persica subsp. ferganensis Kostina et Rjab., and Prunus amygdalus Batsch.
